Thanks to those who have taken the time to provide the images and references on this site. Living on the other side of the globe makes it a little difficult and expensive to obtain such images that can be added to family history references. Of course, I will respect reproduction restrictions and only use for personal viewing and records.

I'm delighted to find some of my 17th century ancestors in your records. I wonder what the story was of "old fishy fancott"

A well organised resource!

Thank you for the email informing me of the update to your site.
I'm absolutely staggered at the information you have available and the many many hours it would have taken to provide the update alone.
I had a visit to the Leicester Record Office last month researching my family tree but have to say your site as provided me with much more information and confirmation than what my novice skills managed to find in 6 hours of searching and all this from the comfort of my home... a BIG thank you for all involved. I look forward to using your site on a regular basis.
Kind regards
Michael.

I have just viewed the Headstone of Priscilla Jean Hoare & although she died some some 51 years ago it still seems like yesterday to me. As a teenager of some 13 years old I went to school with Priscilla in Fareham & as my first girl friend I was devastated when her Father the Rev David Hoare moved to Tilton on the Hill. I of course missed her dreadfully when she left & after some months decided, even though I was only 14 that I would go and visit her - On phoning her father I was devastated to hear that she had died - I believe somehow she choked to death in her sleep. I now live in Australia, but have never forgotten her & never will. It was by chance I found this web site.

The email address is that of a friend of mine, but can be contacted on this.

When did the Tiltons leave for America

Andrew J. Tilton IV 01 January 2013
Family came from England in the 1630's. Part of the family was the original Founding families of Hampton, NH. I have traced the family supposedly back to Tilton on the Hill, England. Also, have been told the family changed its name in England to protect itself. Any information would be helpful.

Does anybody know any history about two cottages on Halstead Road: Kildare and Jasmine cottage? Many thanks for any info.
